Strengthening overall safety awareness | Improving emergency response capabilities

Safety in production is paramount, and emergency prevention must not be neglected. To thoroughly implement safety production policies and comprehensively strengthen the enterprise's safety defense line, on the afternoon of May 21st, with the active promotion of the Changzhou Federation of Trade Unions' Staff Happiness Classroom, Wujin Stainless Steel, in collaboration with the Tianning District Fire and Rescue Brigade, meticulously organized a rich and diverse fire safety knowledge training and practical exercise activity for various workshop directors, shift leaders, and some electromechanical employees, injecting a "booster shot" into the enterprise's safety production.

Theoretical Foundation: Building a Strong Safety Ideological Defense Line

 

 

At the beginning of the activity, the company's Production Manager, Lu Xunwei, delivered a mobilization speech. He particularly emphasized: "Safety is the lifeline of enterprise development, and every employee is the primary person responsible for safety production!" At the same time, he requested that all workshops take this training as an opportunity to regularly conduct self-inspection and rectification of safety hazards, and to apply the learned fire safety knowledge to practical work, truly transforming it into the ability to protect the enterprise and themselves, thereby strengthening the safety production defense line.

 

 

Subsequently, Xu Di, instructor from Tianning District Zhulin Road Fire and Rescue Station, delivered a special training course titled "Preventing Before It 'Burns'". Instructor Xu used "Why conduct fire safety training and emergency evacuation drills" as a starting point, combined with several typical fire cases in recent years, and explained in simple and understandable language the key points of factory fire hazard investigation, the correct use of various fire-fighting equipment, and practical self-rescue techniques for escaping fires. He particularly emphasized the fire safety concept of "prevention first, combining prevention and firefighting," pointing out that only when all personnel collectively improve their fire prevention capabilities can fire accidents be reduced at the source, thus safeguarding the safe operation of the enterprise.

Practical Training: Immersive Drills to Enhance Emergency Capability

 

 

After the theoretical training, the practical exercise phase commenced at the outdoor area of the pickling room in the main factory. This drill simulated a sudden fire incident against the backdrop of a realistic production scenario. Firefighters responded quickly and carried out rescue operations in an orderly manner, systematically demonstrating the standardized operational procedures of "command post setup - equipment deployment - collaborative disposal" to the trainees. During the drill, the firefighters moved swiftly and cooperated seamlessly, showcasing strong practical capabilities through their exquisite professional skills and efficient teamwork. The highly realistic scenario made employees deeply realize the importance of the golden rescue time window, further strengthening the team collaboration awareness of "everyone talks about safety, everyone knows how to respond," and also accumulated valuable practical experience for the enterprise in dealing with future sudden fire accidents.

 

 

 

This fire safety knowledge training and practical exercise activity, through the deep integration of "theory + practice," allowed employees to comprehensively and multi-dimensionally learn fire safety knowledge, accumulate valuable experience through practical observation and learning, effectively improve the company's overall fire safety emergency response level, and build a solid and reliable safety barrier for Wujin Stainless Steel's high-quality development.
